Studio-808 Refresh - New Features, New Designers, Evolved Brand

We are excited to announce that Couqa was recently selected to help Studio-808 refresh it's online identity, while providing new tools to help Studio-808 continue to grow into 2010 and beyond.

Studio-808 is a high-end online Boutique that sells handpicked merchandise from Chicago emerging designers. Beyond just the retail side, Studio-808 also serves as consultant to designers and conduit to the Chicago fashion community. Studio-808 hosts fashion preview events, trunk shows, and serves as a general ambassador promoting Chicago fashion talent worldwide.

Creatively, we wanted to leverage the strong brand equity that existed and still evolve the look to more strongly reflect its contemporary fashion ideals. On the technical side we aimed to increase sales by improving the shopping experience. Cleaner navigation, streamlined checkout process, detailed decriptions, and better photos are just a few of the new features added to improve this.

Fashion week in Chicago takes shape with a little help from Couqa

Couqa is excited to announce its selection to work with 2 of the largest designer produced shows in Chicago fashion week history, "Chicago Fashion Rocks" and "Horacio Nieto Presents."

Couqa is helping to shape the brand and creative exposure of these shows to personify and heighten recognition of these talented designers! We all know the Fashion industry is changing and during a time when tradional tent show are being replaced by smaller off-beat shows. Couqa is here to make sure they are better than ever.

Chicago Fashion Rocks

CFR is poised to be something new and fresh - with the rock n’ roll cocktail backdrop of the new LaSalle Power Co., the city’s most promising fashion designers will showcase their Fall 2009 – Spring 2010 collection to sounds by the best local musicians. More than 400 people in Chicago’s fashion, music, and creative arts industries will be in attendance. Event goers will enjoy an alternating rock concert and fashion show fueled by local Chicago artists, as well as complimentary cocktails and h’ors doeurves.

Chicago Fashion Rocks will feature the Organik Revolution line designed by Chicago's own Kristin Hassan. Kristin a graduate of the Art Institure was most recently featured on Bravo's 'The Fashion Show'

Horacio Nieto Presents

Horacio Nieto presents Spring/Summer 2010 women and menswear collections at the incredibly spacious EnVent Gallery . The ready-to-wear collections will revolve around the elements of tribes from different worlds . The Arlo menswear collection is inspired by a tribe from space with futuristic fabrics, colors and details. As for the womenswear collection, it reflects an Amazon tribe with textures, vibrant colors and indigenous elements.

In it's 6th year Chicago's Fashion Week, branded Fashion Focus Chicago, is fast approaching and slated for the last week of October. This annual event has steadily been growing year after year and while it bodes traditional tented shows in Millenium Park by Macy's and GenArt, this year there are a handful of off-site shows produced by the designers themselves.
